There's an animated show encompassing the Clone Wars they want to air next year. That's been known to be a fact for a while. I kinda know a guy, used to work at Nickeldeon with me, who is directing the series. It's CG animated, utilizing an overseas studio in Singapore. Lucas wants to get more episode done for a premiere next year and would like to do 100 episodes; which is not very conservative. Considering that most highly popular animated series don't go beyond 65-70 episodes.
There's plans to do a live action series that they would start work on in the next few years and would hopefully air sometimes by the end of the decade; possibly 2010. Lucas has said it will take place between Episodes III and IV and won't involve any characters we know form the movies. But has hinted that it may contain a bounty hunter we all know. The last idea was that it would be self contained episodes within the Star Wars universe.
That's all there is to know so far.
As far as CIV, I believe they are going to have a panel about the Clone Wars series. As to what they are going to show (drawings, sketches, animatics, rendered footage, backgrounds?) is up in the air.
I'm sure Steven Sansweet will fill people's head with information about the live action series that may or may not be true.
